This totem, constructed by the Rivenese people as an expression of their disdain for Gehn, stands as a powerful symbol of their history and struggle. With its imposing head and massive hands gripping the linking book to Riven, the effigy embodies their rejection of Gehn's oppressive rule. Located in a place that signifies peace and escape for the Rivenese people, the effigy serves as a haunting reminder of their past while marking their resilience and desire for freedom.
For the construction, I primarily modeled the piece in 3ds Max, adding intricate details using ZBrush. The textures were fully created in Substance Painter, utilizing two texture sets to ensure optimal texel density.
